Notes: The "father of American landscape architecture", Frederick Law Olmsted, designed New York Central Park, Boston Common, Boston Public Garden, and among others Whitman (MA) Park in 1875. This water bubbler was given to the town's children in 1925 in memory of Hannah Jane Brigham by her husband, Albert Henry, for being quiet during her final days in their nearby home. This photographer took many cold drinks from this bubbler during hotly contested games on the ball field! |
